Killers is a Japanese and Indonesian crime thriller movie from 2014 that tells the story of two men who are brought together by their mutual addiction to killing. The film oscillates between two perspectives: Nomura (played by Kazuki Kitamura), a serial killer in Tokyo, and Bayu (played by Oka Antara), a journalist-turned-serial killer in Jakarta. The two men are removed from each other by distance and culture, but they form an unlikely bond that is rooted in their shared addiction to murder.

Nomura is a character who is incredibly well-defined. He is a handsome, well-groomed man who works for a real estate firm in Tokyo; he is educated, disciplined, and precise in his killing. He feels no remorse for his actions and has no family or friends to speak of. Instead, he posts videos of his killings online for the world to see, and he enjoys the attention he gets from his fans.

Bayu, on the other hand, is a more complicated character. He used to be a journalist, but after he accidentally kills someone in the process of reporting a story, he quickly become addicted to killing. Unlike Nomura, Bayu is filled with remorse. He is plagued by guilt and tormented by the ghosts of his victims. Despite his regret, he continues to kill, and he is desperate to share his experiences with someone who will understand him.

When Bayu discovers Nomura's online videos, he is fascinated by him. Although he is repulsed by Nomura's actions, he is also intrigued by his personality. The two men begin to communicate online, and they forge an unlikely bond. As their relationship deepens, Bayu becomes more and more like Nomura. He starts to dress like him, talks like him, and even begins to imitate his crimes.

The film is shot in a very stylized way. The violence is depicted in graphic detail, and the camera focuses closely on the blood and gore. There are also a lot of close-ups of the characters' faces, which are often filled with emotion. The soundtrack is also noteworthy; it is a mix of traditional Japanese and Indonesian music, which adds to the film's international feel.

One of the things that makes Killers so compelling is the way it explores the motivations behind each of the killers' actions. Both Nomura and Bayu are complex characters with their own unique reasons for killing. While Nomura seems to do it for the excitement and attention, Bayu is motivated by his own inner demons. The film asks the viewer to consider what drives people to commit acts of violence, and whether or not these motivations are understandable.

Overall, Killers is a well-made film that explores some dark and complex themes. It is not for the faint of heart, as the violence is quite graphic, but it is a rewarding watch for those who are interested in crime thrillers. The performances by the leads are exceptional, and the film's international feel adds a unique perspective to the story. Whether or not you have seen other movies about serial killers, Killers is definitely worth checking out.

Killers is a 2015 crime movie with a runtime of 2 hours and 17 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.4 and a MetaScore of 51.
