Kung Fu Master is a high octane martial arts thriller with non stop action sequences. Taking place in feudal China, the story follows Tan Zong, a Buddhist Monk, who is also one of the greatest kung fu experts known to man. Zong is summoned by the Grand Commandant, a war lord, who wishes to utilize Zong’s skills by appointing him as drillmaster of the royal army. But being a Buddhist, Zong has no desire to train war mongering soldiers, so he travels to the Commandant’s palace to refuse the job offer. The Grand Commandant not being a man to take no for an answer, sets loose a series of assassins. Zong and his apprentice meet a myriad of attackers, each one more diabolically trained than the next. A knife throwing concubine, umbrella wielding thugs and masked henchmen are just a few of the hired killers that Zong overcomes during his journey to the Commandant‘s castle. In the meantime, the Grand Commandant attempts to punish Zong by sending soldiers to the Buddhist temple to attack his pupils. As Zong approaches the Grand Commandant’s fortress he is faced with several tests designed to scrutinize his mastery of kung fu. Zong fights bench brandishing soldiers, navigates a mountain of precariously stacked chairs, and ducks through a tunnel of thrusting spears. Having overcome the tests Zong is now faced with the task of battling the Grand Commandant’s evil assistant. Zong is joined by his pupils who fight with him side by side helping him defeat the assistant. With only the Commandant left, Zong and his pupils enter the castle courtyard in preparation to meet the wicked war lord. The Grand Commandant converges upon Zong and his pupils and an epic battle ensues. Zong’s students are mercilessly thrown aside and Zong is almost overcome. Yet, Zong prevails as he uses his mastery of kung fu to defeat the menacing Grand Commandant.
