This French drama tells the story of Robert, a famous TV journalist who finds it impossible to remain faithful to his wife, Catherine. Robert becomes infatuated with an American woman, Candice, who quickly becomes bored with the arrangement she and Robert begin. Robert is then captured during a reporting job in Vietnam and spends some time in prison, upon his return he finds the women he left behind have moved on with their lives during his absence.
