This biographical documentary chronicles one of the most prominent love relationships in Hollywood history, the relationship of Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor. Both Burton and Taylor provide some personal insights into how they met, fell in love and how they subsequently decided to call it quits. The two superstars first met while filming the moving Cleopatra in 1961. At the time, Taylor was married to singer Eddie Fisher. Taylor and Burton have an instant attraction that leads to a very public affair and an eventual divorce for Taylor. What ensues could best be termed as a real Hollywood love affair.
