The scene is London during World War II. Bombing raids are a frequent occurrence, so blackouts are in effect. To prevent enemy aircraft from navigating the landscape at night, citizens use thick curtains on all windows--or tar them up--and turn off all unnecessary lights. In the midst of this oppressive darkness, a former surgeon roams the streets. His weapon of choice is a hypodermic needle. His mission is to murder all of the people who are enemies to the Allied cause. The problem is that he never really has any proof. This film is part horror, part mystery, part thriller.
