Two unsuspected potential lovers, Martha and Raymond, seek to find their “perfect” mates. How the two met in the first place is a story in and of itself. Raymond, or “Ray,” falsely sells himself as a potential Latin lover. What he and Martha, posing as his sister, pull off will surely surprise the viewer. Was it really possible for two people, in real life, to make the inroads that they did? A dark and captivating film, Lonely Hearts is not about romance alone, but about how far two people will go to get what they mutually want. The film stars Salma Hayak as Martha, Jared Leto as Raymond and John Travolta as Detective Elmer Robertson.
