Peter Silverblatt has everything he needs, including the love of his life and inspiration for his writing, Melanie. Melanie is from Georgia and her family has a lot of money. Everything is perfect up until the time that she invites Peter to her childhood home. Her family is a little eccentric to say the least, and Melanie’s father does not want her and Peter to be together. Her father sets out on a mission to destroy the relationship the two have built together. He even tries to convince Peter to take up with the woman who is known as the town tramp.
