"This is a film about faith. This is not the film we set out to make." Messiahs follows filmmakers on their journey to examine the nature of faith, exploitation and fanaticism in modern Christianity. First they meet Jesse, a lovable loser who draws strength from his claims to track his family tree back to being a descendent of Jesus. Meanwhile, Jack a smarmy wanna-be actor, toils away as a Jesus impersonator to make ends meet before finding his big break. And Michael... Michael is a lost soul. Each are able to touch and impact the lives around them. But at what cost?
