A young girl is forced to discover the rights and wrongs of living in a post-war Argentinian town. Her father is too busy with work to care for her, and her mother is completely overtaken with the ravages of alcoholism. The girl, Telsun, learns about life from the local people who live near her family's home. The miracles she encounters help her rise above the fateful curse of her family's past.
