Motown Mafia is a crime biography documentary that was released straight to DVD in 2011. In the late 1960s and early 1970s Detroit neighbors Eddie Jackson and Courtney Brown were the Kingpins of Detroit. The duo had a heroin operation and was earning over a million dollars in sales in a month. With their earnings, the duo had spread their money to family and friends and they were living great lifestyles. Their names were so big in Detroit many well known celebrities, such as Richard Pryor and The Temptations, wanted to hang with the duo. With their drug operations being so big in Detroit, they were compared to Frank Lucas and Leroy "Nicky" Barnes of New York. In 1975 the police gathered enough evidence to sentenced the men to prison for several years.
