This 45 minute film explores the family relationships and prosecution of Tom Green, a member of a minority religious group that condones the illegal practice of polygamy. He resided openly for many years with his five wives and their numerous children. However, the federal government charged him with a crime when he committed statutory rape by marrying a 14 year old child and he was tried and imprisoned. His wives and 31 children continued supporting him. Tom Green complained that his prosecution was politically motivated, because he had offended mainstream Mormons who did not support the outlawed practice of polygamy.
