Munger Road is a 2011 horror-thriller film directed and written by Nicholas Smith. The movie stars Bruce Davison, Randall Batinkoff, Trevor Morgan, and Brooke Peoples. The plot of the movie revolves around a group of four teenagers who venture onto the infamous Munger Road, which is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young girl who was killed in a hit-and-run accident years ago. The teenagers, including Corey (Trevor Morgan), his girlfriend Carmen (Brooke Peoples), his best friend Joe (Hallock Beals), and Joe's girlfriend Rachel (Lauren Storm), plan to spend the night on the road, trying to catch a glimpse of the ghost. However, they soon realize that being on the road during the night is not a good idea, as strange occurrences start to happen around them.

The movie starts with a small town of Cliffside, Illinois, being introduced to the audience. The town has a long history, and one of its most famous and haunted places is Munger Road. As the teenagers make their way towards the road, they come across a police barricade, which they try to bypass. However, they are stopped by Officer Doherty (Bruce Davison), who warns them against entering Munger Road. He tells them about the haunted history of the place and requests them to turn back. However, the teenagers ignore the warning and continue their journey.

As the night progresses, Corey and his friends realize that something is not right. Car headlights start following them, and strange noises are heard from the nearby forest. They also come across the ghost of the young girl, who appears in front of their car and disappears just as quickly. The teenagers try to explain everything that is happening around them, but they are met with skepticism by the locals.

One of the most suspenseful scenes is where Rachel, one of the teenagers, goes missing, and the others have to search for her. The scene is full of tension and fear, and the movie builds the suspense masterfully. The fear among the teenagers is palpable, and the audience is left wondering what is going to happen next.

As the night progresses, the teenagers realize that they are not alone on Munger Road. They come across a mysterious van, which seems to be following them. The occupants of the van are not friendly, and the teenagers soon realize that they are in grave danger. One of the teenagers is kidnapped, and the others are chased through the woods by the van's occupants. The chase scene is expertly shot and is full of tension, leaving the audience at the edge of their seats.

The acting in Munger Road is top-notch. Bruce Davison, in particular, is excellent as the local police officer who knows the history of Munger Road. His expressions and dialogues add a touch of authenticity to the movie. Trevor Morgan and Brooke Peoples also deliver great performances as the lead characters, while Randall Batinkoff and Hallock Beals provide solid support.

Another aspect of the movie that deserves praise is the cinematography. The movie is shot entirely on location, and the shots of Munger Road and the surrounding woods are gorgeous. The camera work is excellent, and the movie manages to create a sense of dread and fear among the audience.

Overall, Munger Road is an excellent horror-thriller movie that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seats. The movie has a great cast, top-notch cinematography, and an engaging plotline that manages to keep the audience guessing throughout. It is a must-watch for all horror fans and is sure to leave a lasting impression.
