Watch My Summer of Love

The film My Summer of Love is a drama made with a British director and cast. The movie follows the storyline of a novel with the same title. This book was written by Helen Cross. The story tell of a relationship between two young women from different walks of life and how they form a strong bond. Mona is from a working class family who has a brother that was just released from prison. Her brother is the only member of her family that she has left. Tamsin comes from an upper class family that pays not attention to her. She has been suspended from the boarding school she was sent to for breaking the rules. The girls are instantly attracted to each other the first time they meet.

Mona is living with her brother who has become religious while in prison. After a hard night Mona visits Tamsin. The girls spend the day drinking and smoking while talking about the life situations they are dealing with. The girls confide in each other. They even follow Timsin’s dad and smash his car windows when they see him with his secretary. The girls run into a river and share a kiss. Later on that night they two share a passionate and intimate experience.

Timson meets Mona’s brother and pretends that she is attracted to him. The girls take some magic mushroom commonly used as a psychedelic drug. After being kicked out of a public place they go back to their river and make a promise to kill each other if one ever leaves the other.

Mona’s brother goes to Timsin’s house to look for his sister. He tried to kiss Timson but after being rejected by her he takes Mona home and forbids her to see Timsin again. Mona fakes suicide to get out. After being beat by her brother she leaves in hopes of running away with Timsin. When she gets to her home she finds Tomsin has to go back to boarding school. She finds out Timsin lied to her about several things including her sisters death. Timsin tell Mona she knew from the start their relationship would not work out and she was just having fun. Mona tries to drown Timsin but decides to let her lives and walks off on her own.
