This Indian drama film was directed by Thangar Bachan and released in 2007. The film was extremely well received by both critics and audiences alike upon it's release. The story follows the life of Madhava, a poor villager who lives a happy and simple life with his wife, Velayi and their two children. Madhava's peaceful, albeit humble, life is suddenly shattered when a close and jealous relative conspires against Madhava and eventually turns his family against him. When his children decry their father, Madhava decides to leave his home for good and begin a long and harrowing journey of redemption and self discovery.
