Ronan and Beatrix have received a message from their estranged father that asks them to meet him as soon as possible. Fearing the worst, the two head to his home as soon as they finish reading the letter. When they arrive at his home they notice that he is nowhere to be found and they eventually deem him missing. After further investigation aided by their friend, they discover that their father has somehow found a way to a parallel universe. The group mysteriously comes across this portal that transports them to a world that resembles a dark and dangerous nuclear wasteland.
