Perras is a Mexican drama film directed by Guillermo Ríos that released in 2011. The movie takes place in a suburban area, and it is about four teenage girls named Wendy, Daniela, Laura, and Alma, who form a group called "Las Perras" (The Bitches). The girls are best friends and have a reputation in the community for being wild and rebellious.

The movie opens with the girls at a party, where they are drinking and smoking. Wendy (Claudia Zepeda) makes out with a boy, while the other girls watch approvingly. Daniela (Karen de la Hoya) gets into a fight with her boyfriend, who ends up hitting her. The girls then leave the party and decide to steal a car for fun. They drive around and crash into a wall, causing the car to break down.

The next day, the girls go to school as usual, but their rebellious behavior continues. They skip classes, smoke in the bathroom, and engage in other disruptive activities. Laura (Scarlet Dergal) flirts with a male teacher, leading to rumors about their relationship.

As the movie progresses, we see the girls' personal lives and the struggles they face at home. Wendy's mother is an alcoholic, and her father is in jail. Daniela's parents are overprotective and don't allow her to have a boyfriend. Laura's mother is mentally ill, and her father is absent. Alma (Renata Vaca) is struggling with her identity and is not sure if she is gay or straight.

Despite their problems, the girls are always there for each other and provide support and comfort when needed. The movie also shows the girls' relationships with male classmates and their dynamic with other girls in school.

The drama builds up when the girls cross paths with a group of popular girls, led by a girl named Ana (Paulina Gaitán). Ana is jealous of the Perras' reputation and does everything she can to sabotage them. She spreads rumors about the girls, tries to break up their friendships, and even threatens them physically.

As the plot progresses, the tension between the Perras and Ana's group reaches a breaking point. The movie ends with a confrontation between the girls, and the consequences of their actions are revealed.

Perras is a gritty and realistic portrayal of teenage life, with its portrayal of the girls' rebellious behavior, family struggles, and relationships with each other and their community. The movie is beautifully shot and features strong performances from its all-female cast, particularly Claudia Zepeda, Karen de la Hoya, and Scarlet Dergal.

Overall, Perras is a thought-provoking and powerful film that provides an intimate look into the lives of teenage girls and the challenges they face. The movie examines important themes such as friendship, loyalty, rebellion, and identity, making it an engaging and thought-provoking watch for anyone interested in teenage dramas.
