Push is a movie set in a world where psychics exist. We learn early in the movie that the Nazis performed experiments on people born with a special abilities in a effort to make a super army. When WWII ended, other countries set up their own "Divisions" to try and weaponize these powers. The powers people are born with include, clairvoyance, telekinesis, psychics who make you believe a different reality, healers, sniffers who can tell an objects history, memory erasing, object manipulation, and psychics who can block these abilities in others. Each power has its own strengths and weakness. In this world, Nick, who has telekinesis, meets young Cassie who has clairvoyance. She tries to get him to help her find a case which she tells him has six million dollars in it. Nick who has been in a mountain of debt agrees to help. Cassie soon reveals that the case does not in fact have any money and Nick tries to get out of the situation. It's too late as they start being chased by an organized crime family who has powers. After a rough chase that leaves Nick in the care of a healer, Cassie again finds him and gives him a flower. Remembering his dead father's words from years ago, "A girl will give you a flower, help her, help us all," Nick reluctantly agrees to help her. With the help of a Sniffer they eventually find Kira, a psychic that can make you believe an alternate reality, who is at the center of the whole search for the case. Nick recognizes her as his ex-girlfriend. She says she doesn't remember anything except she does remember Nick. He suggests that maybe she had her memory wiped to make it harder for clairvoyants to track her. In the streets of Hong Kong they embark on the search for the mysterious case with the Division and crime family hot on their trails.
