Raja is a movie about a well off entrepreneur named Rana whose good friend Birju loses most of wealth when the factory he owns is destroyed by a fire. Birju's life begins to fall apart around him as his young brother Raja has his marriage to Rana's sister broken off. With the fire breaking apart these families, the movie moves forward many years later, where Raja and Rana's sister reunite and fall in love again. Their families do not approve of the reconciliation of their loves threatening to do anything to break it up.
