Randy and The Mob is a 2007 American comedy film directed by Ray McKinnon, who also stars in the film as Randy, a rural businessman in Alabama. The film follows Randy as he gets caught up in a series of comical mishaps with a group of mobsters after they purchase his business. Randy is a small-town businessman who runs a gas station and convenience store. His business is struggling to stay afloat, and he's in debt to several people in town. Meanwhile, a group of New York City mobsters led by Frank (Walton Goggins) is looking for a new business to invest in. They come across Randy's store and decide to buy it, thinking it will be an easy way to launder their money.

Things start to spiral out of control when Randy discovers that his accountant has been embezzling money from him. He decides to confront him, and when he arrives at his office, he finds him dead. Panic sets in, and Randy realizes that the mobsters who bought his business may be involved in the murder.

As Randy tries to figure out what to do, he becomes entangled in a web of lies and deceit. He finds himself working with the mobsters to cover up the murder, hoping that they will leave him alone once everything has blown over. However, things only get more complicated as the situation spirals out of control.

Throughout the film, Randy is at the center of the action. He's a sympathetic character who is caught up in a situation that is way beyond his control. McKinnon does an excellent job of portraying Randy as the likable but hapless protagonist.

Goggins is also fantastic as the mobster Frank. He's charismatic and charming, but also incredibly ruthless. It's easy to see why Randy would be so intimidated by him. The chemistry between McKinnon and Goggins is excellent, and they play off each other well.

The rest of the cast is also excellent. Lisa Blount does a great job as Randy's wife, Charlotte. She's a strong character who stands by her husband, even when things get tough. There are also some fantastic supporting performances from the likes of Brent Briscoe, Jim Varney, and Bill Nunn.

The film is filled with comedic moments, but it's also surprisingly tense at times. The plot twists and turns, and you're never quite sure what's going to happen next. It's a fun ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Overall, Randy and The Mob is an excellent film that is well worth watching. It's a funny, tense, and well-crafted movie that is guaranteed to make you laugh. The cast is fantastic, and the direction and screenplay are top-notch. If you're a fan of comedy or crime films, you won't want to miss this one.
