The movie begins with a group of cowboys driving a herd of cattle across the plains. Suddenly, they hear gunfire and realize that they are under attack from a group of bandits who are after their cattle. The bandits manage to steal some of the cattle and make off into the hills. The cowboys report the incident to the local sheriff, who then summons the Texas Rangers to investigate.

The Texas Rangers, led by Captain Jim Halsey (Robert Livingston), arrive in town and begin their investigation. They soon discover that a notorious gang of cattle rustlers, led by a man named Red Courteen (Earl Hodgins), is behind the attacks. As the Rangers continue their pursuit, they cross paths with another group of cowboys who are also on the trail of Courteen. This group is made up of Fuzzy Q. Jones (Max Terhune) and Tucson Smith (Ray Corrigan), two old friends of Captain Halsey. Together, the Rangers and the cowboys join forces to take down Courteen and his gang.
