Scientology: The Ex-Files is a 2011 documentary. The filmmakers interview a number of people formerly involved with the Scientology organization. The filmmakers explore Scientology itself, which has been a controversial religion in recent years due to allegations of brainwashing, human trafficking and abuse. Also, they take a close look at founder L. Ron Hubbard and try to determine if his organization is legitimate, a fraud or some combination of both.
