Sky Sharks is a 2020 horror-comedy movie directed by Marc Fehse and starring Thomas Morris, Eva Habermann, and Barbara Nedeljakova. The film is set in the present day and revolves around a group of researchers who discover the remains of an ancient race of genetically-engineered creatures capable of flight. The story follows a team of scientists who have developed a new kind of machine that enables people to fly. However, their invention comes with an unexpected twist – the device also awakens a long-dormant race of genetically-engineered sharks that were created by the Nazis during World War II. These sharks, known as sky sharks, were designed to be able to fly, breathe in the air, and attack prey from above.

As the sky sharks are unleashed upon the world, the scientists must team up with an elite squad of soldiers to stop them from wreaking havoc across the planet. Meanwhile, a mad scientist named Dr. Klaus Richter (played by Tony Todd) is hatching a plan to use the sky sharks to conquer the world and rule as its supreme overlord.

The movie features plenty of over-the-top action sequences, including aerial battles between the sky sharks and fighter planes, as well as some gruesome scenes where the sharks tear through their human victims. Along the way, the team of scientists and soldiers encounter a variety of unique characters, including a group of gory punk vampires and a top-secret government agency tasked with fighting off supernatural threats.

Sky Sharks is an ambitious film that blends elements of horror, comedy, and action into a fun and entertaining package. While the plot may sound a bit ridiculous on paper, the filmmakers manage to pull it off with a mix of tongue-in-cheek humor and genuinely suspenseful moments. The special effects are top-notch, with the sky sharks themselves being particularly impressive with their combination of sleek design and terrifying power.

At the heart of the film is the dynamic between the various characters, who each bring their own personalities and quirks to the table. Thomas Morris and Eva Habermann serve as the lead scientists, with Morris playing the somewhat bumbling but ultimately heroic inventor of the flying machine. Habermann, meanwhile, brings a more practical and level-headed approach to the team, helping to keep everyone on track even in the face of impossible odds.

Barbara Nedeljakova shines in her role as a kick-ass soldier tasked with leading the charge against the sky sharks. Meanwhile, Tony Todd delivers an outstanding performance as the deranged Dr. Richter, who is clearly relishing his role as the film's main villain.

One of the most impressive aspects of Sky Sharks is its ability to balance humor and horror in a way that feels organic and not forced. While there are plenty of silly moments throughout the film, they never detract from the overall sense of tension and danger that pervades the story. Similarly, the movie's gore and violence never feel gratuitous or excessive, instead serving to heighten the stakes and underscore the threat posed by the sky sharks.

Overall, Sky Sharks is a wild ride that is sure to satisfy fans of horror-comedy and action movies. While it may not be a masterpiece of cinema, it is certainly a lot of fun and offers plenty of thrills and spills along the way. Regardless of whether you're a fan of sharks or not, this is definitely one movie that is hard to resist.
