Stranger In My Bed
- 2 hr
This US-Canadian made-for-cable movie stars Jamie Luner as Sara Hansen and Chris Kramer as Ryan Hansen, a couple whose marriage is seriously abusive. L. Harvey Gold stars as Jay Logan, Sara’s boss at a Tacoma newspaper where she is employed as a photographer. When Mr. Logan becomes aware of the fact that Ryan Hansen is abusing his wife suspicions and accusations start to make some serious waves. Sent on a spelunking assignment to photograph caves, Sara Hansen mysteriously turns up missing and after five days the local newspaper announces that the search has been called off and the body has not been recovered. Sara is still alive though, and only faked her death escape to start a new life without Ryan. Despite assuming a new identity, it doesn’t take Ryan long to figure out that she is alive and the chase of a lifetime ensues turning into a very deadly game of cat and mouse. Ryan eventually tracks her down after 18 months with the help of a private investigator he hired. He arrives in West Virginia to find Sara working as a family photographer. Ryan goes on a killing spree, shooting the private investigator that found Sara and her new best friend. Sara now has to come clean to her new boyfriend about running from her dangerous past and abusive husband, but that doesn’t save his life either. No matter what the cost, Sara is determined to escape her husband, even if it means killing him to get away for good. It becomes quite apparent that only one of them is going to survive this race to the death. Directed by George Erschbamer who also wrote the script with Barbara Fixx and Jeffrey Barmash. The film was produced by Stanton W. Kamens and first aired in the United States on the Lifetime network in summer 2005.
