Submarine X-1 is an action drama film that was released in 1969. The film’s main character is a submarine commander who was involved in an incident where his boat was sunk, and he was blamed for the death of his sailors. However, the commander has just been cleared, and is now working with the high command of the US Navy. The film takes place mainly inside of a briefing room where the commander discusses using small subs in order to attack German battleship while at anchor. The commander has to weigh the chance of helping win the war with the real chance of losing more men.
