Suffer Little Children, released in 1983, is a horror movie directed by Alan Briggs, and starring Colin Chamberlain, Ginny Rose, and Jon Hollanz. The film is set in a rundown seaside town in England, where a string of child murders has taken place. The film opens with a group of children playing in an abandoned churchyard. Among them is a young girl named Amelia, who wanders off on her own. She comes across a mysterious figure, who is heavily cloaked and has glowing eyes. Before Amelia can scream, the figure grabs her and hides her in a nearby crypt.

The next day, Amelia is found dead in the crypt by local authorities. Her murder ignites a chain of events that see a number of children in the town going missing, each time in similar circumstances. The parents of the children are understandably distraught, and the authorities seem unable to do anything to stop the killer.

Amidst all this, a local woman named Mrs. Wimsey (played by Ginny Rose) is struggling to come to terms with the death of her own child. She begins to have visions of her daughter, and the mysterious figure that killed her. Desperate to find closure, Mrs. Wimsey starts investigating the murders on her own, which leads her to a group of eccentric neighbors who are engaged in occult practices.

As the body count rises, the townspeople start to panic. They believe that the killer is not human, but rather a supernatural creature that feeds on the souls of children. In a desperate bid to put an end to the murders, they organize a vigilante group, but their tactics only serve to escalate the situation.

The film's climax takes place in the abandoned churchyard, where everything comes to a head. Without giving away too much, it's safe to say that the ending is both shocking and satisfying.

Suffer Little Children is a film that has a lot going for it. The cinematography is moody and atmospheric, which gives the film a palpable sense of dread. The performances are all solid, particularly Ginny Rose, who brings a great deal of pathos and emotional resonance to her role as Mrs. Wimsey.

The film's pacing is also excellent. It takes its time to build up the tension, but it never feels slow or boring. The script is tight, and the dialogue is naturalistic and believable.

Perhaps the film's biggest strength, however, is its commitment to its own internal logic. The supernatural elements of the film are well-handled and never feel out of place. The film's take on the occult is both interesting and believable, and it adds a layer of depth to the story that is often missing in horror films.

Overall, Suffer Little Children is a great example of what a horror movie should be. It's scary, atmospheric, and well-crafted. If you're a fan of horror, particularly of the supernatural variety, then this film is definitely worth checking out. It's a hidden gem that deserves to be rediscovered by a new generation of horror fans.

Suffer Little Children is a 1983 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 15 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.5.
