Sundown is an independent film released in 2017 that tells the story of a couple, Gia and Josh, who are on the cusp of ending their relationship. In an effort to rekindle their romance, they take a trip to their favorite vacation spot in Mexico, but things don't go according to plan. The film begins with Gia and Josh arriving in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Once there, they check into their hotel and begin to enjoy the sun, sand, and surf. However, as the days pass, they become more and more distant from each other. Gia spends most of her time reading books by the pool while Josh goes out drinking with his buddies.

One day, Gia meets a couple, Olivia and Lucas, while on a hike. The four of them hit it off and decide to spend the rest of the day together. Olivia and Lucas are carefree and adventurous, and they start to rub off on Gia and Josh. They all head to a local beach party that evening, where they drink and dance until sunrise.

The next day, Gia and Josh are feeling much more connected to each other. They decide to take a day trip to a nearby town, where they run into Olivia and Lucas again. The four of them spend the day exploring and having fun together. Gia and Olivia connect on a deeper level, and Gia starts to realize that she wants more out of life than just a mundane existence.

As the days pass, tensions begin to rise between Gia and Josh. Gia wants to try new things and explore the world, but Josh is content with their routine. Olivia and Lucas continue to hang around, and Gia starts to feel a strong attraction to Olivia.

As the film reaches its climax, Gia must decide whether to stay with Josh and their comfortable life or take a chance on something new with Olivia. The final scenes of the movie are emotional and thought-provoking, leaving the viewer with plenty to think about.

Overall, Sundown is a well-made film that explores the complexities of relationships and the human desire for adventure and change. The acting is strong, with Anna Rizzo delivering a standout performance as Gia. The cinematography is also excellent, beautifully capturing the scenery and atmosphere of Mexico. The film is a great example of independent cinema and is definitely worth a watch.
