The movie Tennessee Queer is mainly focused around a man by the name of Jason Potts. Jason was living in New York when he decides to move back to his hometown located in Tennessee. Once there he decides to help the teenagers of the community who are part of the LGBT. Once arriving in Tennessee, Jason begins to work on equality of the LGBT community, as well as help them achieve acceptance in a town that has strict beliefs. In this movie, there is a big clash between various religions, politics, and the pride of the gay community that is unlike any other. Despite the many obstacles he must overcome, Jason vows to never give up.
