The Assassin's Blade is an action romance film that was released in 2008. The film centers on a young woman who has long had an interest in fighting for her people, but cannot as the result of her being a woman. The woman decides to hide her gender, and she in a martial arts academy. The woman succeeds as a martial artist, but she soon finds herself dealing with her difficult instructor. This causes her to have to work even harder in order to succeed as a warrior. The Assassin's Blade was directed by Jingle Ma, and features performances by Charlene Choi and Chun Wu, Ge Hu.
