This is a dramatic movie about a young woman who deserts her fiancé after a life altering tragedy. Carrie and Mike had been dating for a long time and were planning to marry. One day, after diving off a pier into low water, Mike becomes a quadriplegic. Rather than staying, and honoring her vow to marry, she leaves for New York City. There she faces new and difficult decisions about life. Carrie has gone to New York to try and forget her past. She will learn there that everyone has a past, and it can never be outrun or forgotten.
