The movie is directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly and produced by Eli Roth. During a therapy session, Nell is introduced to a new therapist named Frank Merle (Muse Watson). Frank is a kind and understanding person who tries to help Nell work through her trauma. One day, Nell receives a phone call from someone claiming to be her father. The person on the phone tells Nell that her mother has died and she must return to her childhood home in New Orleans.
Nell reluctantly agrees to return to New Orleans and is immediately greeted by strange occurrences and the demon's presence. The demon is determined to possess Nell once again and will do anything to achieve its goal. Nell enlists the help of her new friends and Frank to try and fight the demon and save herself from its possession.
The acting in the movie is superb, especially by Ashley Bell who gives a fantastic performance as Nell. Her facial expressions and body language convey the character's fear and anxiety perfectly, making the audience truly feel for her.
