In the third installment of the "Monkey King" franchise, "The Monkey King 3," we find our beloved Sun Wukong (played by Aaron Kwok) on a new adventure. This time, he is joined by a group of travelers who become stranded on an island after a storm. The group includes a young woman named Xuanzang (played by Zanilia Zhao) who is on a journey to obtain Buddhist scriptures, as well as Tang monk (played by Shaofeng Feng) who is there to protect her.

As they explore the island, they come across a temple where they are greeted by an all-female army of goddesses who are protecting a fountain of youth. The goddesses warn the group not to drink from the fountain, but when Xuanzang's life is threatened, they are forced to take a sip. As a result, they unintentionally awaken the monster who has been sleeping beneath the temple.

The group soon learns that the monster is actually a former lover of the goddesses who turned into a monster after she was betrayed by a man. The goddesses are tasked with guarding the monster and preventing her from wreaking havoc on the world. With the help of the Monkey King, the group must find a way to stop the monster and prevent her from causing any more harm.

Throughout the movie, we see the group face various challenges as they attempt to stop the monster. Along the way, they encounter other creatures and obstacles, including a malevolent tree spirit who kidnaps Xuanzang and a tribe of monkeys who help the group in their fight against the monster. We also get to see the relationship between the Monkey King and Xuanzang develop, as she becomes one of the few people who can truly understand him.

"The Monkey King 3" is a visually stunning movie, with breathtaking scenery and special effects. The fight scenes are choreographed beautifully and showcase the individual skills of each character. At times, the movie can be quite emotional, especially when we learn more about the circumstances behind the monster's transformation. However, there are also moments of levity and humor, which provide a nice balance to the more serious parts of the movie.

The acting in "The Monkey King 3" is fantastic, with all of the leads delivering strong performances. Aaron Kwok embodies the Monkey King perfectly, bringing both humor and depth to the character. Zanilia Zhao does an excellent job as well, portraying Xuanzang as determined and compassionate.
