The Outside Chance of Maximilian Glick is a drama and comedy themed movie about a young Jewish boy who is preparing for his Bar Mitzvah while dealing with his extremely overbearing family members. His father and grandfather eventually associate with an extremely eccentric rabbi who is the odd ball the Jewish community. In addition to that the young Jewish boy finds himself attracted to a Catholic girl, who is eventually has to compete against in a piano contest. The rabbi character turns out to be a fun and lighthearted fellow who helps this boy figure out his problems and questions about life.
