"The Raggedy Rawney" is a British drama from 1989 and has a total running time of 2 hours and 23 minutes. Tom is a young recruit in the army who flees after artillery fire claims his sergeant's life and blinds the officer blocking him. The man is scared into silence, raging shelter with an encampment of gypsy nomads. In order to elude capture, Tom poses as a "rawney," a woman purported to have mystical powers. Initially scared but thinking it to be good luck, camp leader "Darky" makes friends with the disguised Tom. Unfortunately, Darky's luck as leader is poor.
