Three young boys discover the outlaw Harry Spikes while out playing one day. They help Harry heal up and hide in one of their barns. Later on, the boys decide to escape the clutches of their parents and find a life of adventure. After running into bank robbers and accidentally killing a Senator, the boys flee to Mexico. There they meet up with Harry again, who teaches them how to be outlaws. Together the little gang of outlaws plan the bank heist of their lives, only to discover terrible secrets.
