In the year 2586, Earth has been ravaged by war, disease and famine. The last remaining humans live in a domed city called New Paris, which is powered by a mysterious energy source known as the Xybernetic Matrix. However, the Matrix is beginning to fail and the city may soon be plunged into darkness forever. Desperate to save their people, a team of scientists devise a plan to travel back in time to the year 2000 to prevent the Matrix from ever being created. Led by Dr. Daniel Winter (Victor Slezak), the team is sent back in time using a machine known as the Timegate. However, they soon discover that changing the past could have devastating consequences for the future.

As the team navigates the complexities of the past, they encounter a host of challenges and obstacles. They must convince a young scientist named Alex Berman (Vince Grant) to help them, all while evading the sinister Dr. Zachary Smith (Caprice Benedetti), who is determined to stop them at any cost.

As the team races against time to save their future, they must also grapple with the ethical dilemmas of altering the past. Is it worth sacrificing the lives and freedoms of those in the present for a chance at a better future?

Timequest is a thought-provoking science fiction film that explores the complexities of time travel and the consequences of altering the past. The film is anchored by strong performances from its lead actors, particularly Slezak and Benedetti, who bring a sense of gravitas and urgency to their roles.

One of the film's strengths is its attention to detail in recreating the year 2000. From the technology to the fashion to the political climate, the film immerses the viewer in the era, making the stakes feel all the more real.

However, the film does have some flaws. The pacing can be slow at times, and some of the dialogue feels clunky and forced. Additionally, the film's handling of certain ethical dilemmas can feel heavy-handed and preachy.

Overall, Timequest is a solid sci-fi adventure that will appeal to fans of time travel stories. While it may not be the most groundbreaking or original film in the genre, it is a well-executed and entertaining addition to the canon.
