He also struggles to raise his two children, a boy and a girl, Jem and Scout. Atticus does his best to expose them to the true realities of the world and the knowledge to know the difference between what's right and what's wrong despite the world in which they live. What's more, Attitus is a fan and out-right supporter of racial equality which is something that is unheard of and rarely spoken about during this time so he doesn't have many supporters on his side.
