Young Jorge (Cesar Ramos) gives his younger sister, Adriana (Paulina Gaitan), a bicycle for her thirteenth birthday. While riding on her new bicycle one morning Adriana is abducted by an international gang of sex traffickers. After finding another boy riding Adriana's bicycle and discovering her belongings lying in the street, Jorge realizes she was kidnapped. Desperate to rescue his sister, Jorge sets out on a mission to reach Adriana before it is too late. Jorge must make a dangerous journey from the barrios in Mexico City to a rundown section of New Jersey or he will lose his sister forever. If Jorge cannot rescue Adriana in time, she will be sold at auction to the highest bidder and be lost in the sex trafficking industry. Along the way, Jorge escapes immigration and other obstacles standing in his way. He also meets a Texas lawman, Ray (Kevin Kline), who lost his daughter to the sex trafficking industry. Ray's own loss to the industry leads him to help Jorge in his search for Adriana. While Jorge searches for Adriana, she is being transported across the United States through a complex system of underground tunnels. Her only friend and confidante is Veronica (Alicja Bachleda), a Polish woman who was tricked into joining the industry when the same gang promised her work in the United States as a model. Veronica befriends Adriana and protects her as best she can. Jorge and Ray work together to reunite Jorge with his sister. However, as they continue to witness first-hand the horrors of the sex trade, it becomes obvious that few who are captured into the industry ever make it out. Jorge and Ray must act quickly if they hope to reach Adriana and bring her to safety before it is too late.
