I Love You to Death is a dark comedy film that first came out in 1990. The film centers on a married couple who work together in a pizza parlor. However, the wife discovers that her husband is actually a lying cheater and that he has been engaging in these kinds of behaviors since they first got married. The wife decides that the only way that she can solve the problem is by killing her husband. However, she is very bad at killing her husband, and she repeatedly fails at doing so. Frequently, her attempts to kill her husband result in very funny situations. I Love You to Death is loosely based on the event of 1984 where a woman by the name of Frances Toto repeatedly attempted and failed to kill her husband. The film was written by John Kostmayer, and was directed by Lawrence Kasdan. It features performances by Kevin Kline, Tracey Ullman, and William Hurt.
