Treehouse is a 2014 horror thriller movie directed by Michael G. Bartlett. The film revolves around four teenage friends who find themselves trapped in a treehouse in the forest. The movie was shot on location in New Mexico and features talented young actors, including Dana Melanie, J. Michael Trautmann, Daniel Fredrick, and Clint James.

The story begins with a group of friends who decide to go out camping in the woods. But soon, a series of unexplainable and terrifying events start to take place around them. They hear strange noises, witness creepy happenings, and see a mysterious figure lurking in the shadows. They soon start to realize that they are not alone in the woods, and that someone or something is out there.

The plot thickens when the youngest of the group, Sam (played by Trautmann), decides to explore the surrounding woods, and discovers a treehouse. However, when he attempts to climb up, he is badly injured and left stranded in the treehouse with no means of escape. His friends frantically search for help, but soon realize that they too are being hunted by an unknown predator. Trapped, and with no one to turn to, the group must band together in order to survive the night.

One of the standout performances in the film is by Melanie, who plays the role of Avery, the leader of the friend group. She is smart, strong-willed and unafraid to take on the challenges that come her way. Melanie does a great job of portraying the emotional turmoil Avery goes through as she tries to protect her friends while also struggling with her own fears.

Trautmann also gives a convincing performance as Sam, the young boy stuck in the treehouse. Despite his injury, he remains calm and collected, thinking logically through the situation and trying to find a way out. His vulnerability and determination to survive make him a sympathetic and likable character.

James is also noteworthy in his role as the mysterious figure who seems to be stalking the group. He is an imposing figure with a menacing presence, and his performance is both chilling and believable.

The film is well-paced and keeps the tension high throughout. The setting of the dark, densely wooded forest adds to the suspense and creates a claustrophobic atmosphere. The use of lighting and sound also helps to build a sense of foreboding, effectively creating an eerie and unsettling mood.

One of the most impressive things about this movie is its ability to keep the audience guessing until the very end. There are several unexpected twists and turns in the plot that keep the viewer on edge, as they struggle to figure out who or what is behind the terrifying events.

Overall, Treehouse is a well-executed horror film that is sure to keep audiences entertained and unnerved. If you're a fan of suspenseful thrillers, this one is definitely worth checking out. It's a relatively low-budget indie film, but it manages to pull off a lot with what it has, showcasing the talents of its cast and crew.

Treehouse is a 2015 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 36 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.8.
