Visaranai is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language thriller film directed by Vetrimaaran. The film is an adaptation of the novel 'Lock Up' by M. Chandrakumar. Visaranai is a hard-hitting and realistic portrayal of a corrupt system. The movie chronicles the life of four migrant workers from Tamil Nadu who are arrested by the police in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on suspicion of theft. The film follows the workers as they are subjected to brutal torture and intimidation to force them to confess to the crimes that they did not commit.

The story begins with a group of migrant workers, Pandi, Murugan, Afsal and Kumar, who are struggling to make ends meet in Chennai. They decide to leave for work in Andhra Pradesh in search of better job opportunities. On arriving in Guntur, they are arrested by the police based on a false accusation of theft at a politician's house. The workers are then subjected to brutal torture and humiliation by the police, who demand that they confess to the crime.

The four workers are then taken to the headquarters of the Andhra Pradesh police, where they are subjected to further abuse and torture. Despite their pleas of innocence, the police persist in their questioning and physical abuse. One of the workers, Afsal, is even raped by the police officers.

One of the police officers, Muthuvel, takes a liking to Pandi and offers him a deal that would lead to his release. Pandi initially agrees to Muthuvel's offer, but later realizes that he is being manipulated and that there is no escape from this system of corruption and abuse.

Visaranai is a gripping and visceral film that paints a stark picture of the corruption and brutality that is rampant throughout India's police system. The film is filled with intense and disturbing scenes of torture, rape, and violence, which are not for the faint of heart.

The performances of the cast are nothing short of remarkable. Dinesh, who plays the lead role of Pandi, delivers a powerful and nuanced portrayal of a man who is forced to confront the harsh reality of a corrupt system. Samuthirakani, who plays the role of police officer Muthuvel, is equally impressive. Anandhi, who plays the role of Pandi's love interest, adds an emotional touch to an otherwise bleak and grim film.

Visaranai is a dark and uncompromising film that offers a sobering look at the realities of corruption and police brutality in India. The film is a must-watch for anyone interested in understanding the current state of affairs in the country.
