Where Were You When the Lights Went Out? is a comedy about a Broadway actress, Margaret Garrison, and her experience during the New York City blackout of November, 1965. She leaves the city in a jealous fit after suspecting her husband is flirting with another woman, and retreats to their suburban Connecticut getaway. While she sleeps, a man whose car breaks down nearby, lets himself into the house and falls asleep too. When Margaret's husband arrives, he is not happy to find another man in the house with his wife. The couple finally works everything out although there is an interesting surprise ending.
