Ep 3. Nor'easter

The third episode of American Horror Story season 2 is titled "Nor'easter." The episode begins with the patients at Briarcliff being prepared for the arrival of a severe storm that is making its way towards the hospital. As they brace for impact, tensions rise between the staff and patients, particularly between Sister Jude and Dr. Arden.

Meanwhile, one of the patients, a man named Kit, is struggling to come to terms with his confinement at the asylum. He desperately tries to convince the staff that he's not a danger to himself or others, but his efforts go ignored. However, as the storm intensifies, Kit suddenly becomes a critical player in a life or death situation.

As the power goes out and tensions continue to boil over, the staff members become increasingly unhinged. Dr. Arden reveals a new project he's been working on, which involves the use of electricity to control the minds of his patients. Sister Jude is horrified by this revelation, but Dr. Arden insists that it's necessary for the good of science.

Meanwhile, Lana, a journalist who's been committed to Briarcliff against her will, begins to form a bond with one of the other patients. Together, they hatch a plan to try and escape the asylum during the chaos of the storm.

As the Nor'easter rages on, the lines between sanity and madness become increasingly blurred. As the staff scramble to maintain order, the patients begin to realize that they're trapped with the very people who are supposed to be helping them.

The episode ends with a shocking twist, suggesting that things are only going to get worse for the patients of Briarcliff as they continue to navigate the horrors of the asylum.
