Ep 6. The First Victim

Detective Nina Kautsalo and her colleague Thomas quickly find out that Lasse's case is by no means unique when a new victim falls ill with the same mysterious symptoms. This time it is a young woman who was found at the side of the road in a state of feverish delirium. Nina and Thomas are convinced that there must be a connection between these two cases, and the more they dig into the past of the two victims, the more puzzling the case becomes.

As Nina and Thomas follow their leads, they soon discover that the two victims were involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse with a ruthless killer, and that the stakes were much higher than they initially thought. As the detectives get closer to the truth, they find themselves embroiled in a complex conspiracy that involves powerful people with a lot to lose.

Meanwhile, Nina's personal life is not getting any easier. She is still reeling from the death of her husband, and her relationship with her sister seems to be at an all-time low. On top of that, she is dealing with the unexpected arrival of a young woman who claims to be her husband's illegitimate daughter, and who is determined to get to know Nina better.

As the investigation heats up, Nina must juggle her personal and professional lives in order to get to the bottom of the case. With every new clue she uncovers, she is forced to rethink everything she thought she knew about the case and its players. And as the killer gets closer to their ultimate goal, Nina realizes that she too is in danger.
