Barbarians Season 1 Episode 2 Vengeance

He orders Tiberius, his stepson and commander of the Roman army, to bring the Germanic tribes under Roman control once and for all. Tiberius is tasked with leading a revenge campaign against the Germanic tribes and restoring Roman pride.

Back in Germania, the Cherusci are divided on how to move forward. Some want to seek peace with Rome and negotiate a truce, while others, like Arminius, believe that the only way forward is through war. Arminius' plan is to unite the different Germanic tribes under one banner and launch a surprise attack on the Romans, catching them off guard and avenging the massacre in the Teutoburg Forest.

As tensions rise between the Cherusci and the Romans, a spy is discovered in the Cherusci village. The spy is none other than Segestes, who has been working for the Romans all along. Arminius is outraged and sees this as an act of betrayal. He orders Segestes to be executed, but his father-in-law, who is also the leader of the Cherusci, suggests otherwise. He proposes that Segestes be held hostage to negotiate for the release of Roman prisoners of war.

The episode ends with both sides preparing for war. The Romans are gathering their troops and resources, while the Germanic people are preparing for battle. The tension is palpable, and the stakes are higher than ever. The fate of the Germanic people hangs in the balance as they prepare to face their greatest enemy yet – the Roman Empire.
