Celebrity Eggheads is a British teatime quiz show featuring teams of celebrities testing their knowledge against some of the greatest quiz minds in Britain - the Eggheads. This season, each episode features a different set of celebrity contestants battling it out in order to win £1,000 for their chosen charity.

In Episode 5 of Season 5, we see five famous faces taking on the Eggheads. The celebrities are: footballer Mark Lawrenson, comedian Jayde Adams, TV presenter Anita Rani, actor and comedian Adil Ray, and singer and reality TV personality Megan McKenna.

The episode starts with each celebrity taking on one of the Eggheads in the first round, where they are asked three general knowledge questions each. The Eggheads are Peter, Kevin, Barry, Dave, and new recruit Lisa, who has only recently joined the team. As always, the questions are tough and the pressure is on. However, some of the celebrities prove to be more than a match for the Eggheads, particularly Adil Ray and Anita Rani, who both score a perfect three out of three.

The second round sees the celebrities working together as a team to take on one of the five Eggheads. This time, they have to answer five questions in a chosen subject. The subjects for this episode are: James Bond films, fashion, US presidents, UK geography, and the great outdoors. The celebrities choose to go up against Kevin in the James Bond round, and they do surprisingly well, scoring four out of five. However, they struggle with the fashion questions and end up scoring just two out of five against Barry.

In the third round, the final two celebrities left in the game go head-to-head with an Egghead of their choice in a buzzer round. The first to score three points wins the round, and the loser is knocked out of the game. In this episode, it is Mark Lawrenson vs. Lisa in the first buzzer round, and they are asked questions on the subject of UK football stadiums. It's a close-fought battle, but Mark manages to clinch it, winning 3-2.

The second buzzer round is between Megan McKenna and Barry, who are asked questions on the subject of 90s music. Barry is one of the most feared Eggheads, and it shows, as he quickly takes a 3-0 lead. However, Megan manages to claw her way back into the game and almost pulls off an unlikely victory, scoring two points in a row. Unfortunately for her, Barry eventually gets the final question right and wins the round 4-2.

The final round is always the most nerve-wracking, as the final celebrity remaining in the game has to answer three questions correctly in order to beat two of the Eggheads. If they fail to do so, the Eggheads win and the money rolls over to the next episode. In this episode, it's Anita Rani who takes on Kevin and Dave in the final. The subject for the final is world geography, and Kevin and Dave are on top form. Anita gets off to a good start, scoring the first question, but the Eggheads quickly pull ahead. However, Anita manages to keep her nerve and makes a stunning comeback, scoring two points in a row to level the score at 2-2. The tension is almost unbearable as she answers the final question, and there's a collective gasp from the audience as the answer is revealed. Has she managed to win the game and the money for her charity, or has she fallen at the final hurdle?

You'll have to tune in to find out if Anita Rani manages to beat the Eggheads and win the money for her charity. Celebrity Eggheads is always an entertaining watch, and this episode is no exception. The celebrities are engaging and entertaining, and the Eggheads are as formidable as ever. With tough questions and plenty of drama, this is a show that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
