City of Steel-City of Life is a TV documentary about the city of Linz located in Austria. The documentary is part of the ORF Universum Documentaries series. City of Steel-City of Life was broadcast in 2009, the same year when Linz was selected to be the European capital of culture in 2009.

The documentary chronicles the history of the city of Linz. From its founding on the Danube River many years ago, through wars and turmoil, rebuilding, and finally to its present state where it has become a vibrant city with vast cultural and historical attractions Linz has truly become a city of life.
