Ep 1. Mercy Part II

Johnny Lawrence and his newly reopened dojo, Cobra Kai, are back in business and welcoming new students. After the events of the first season, Johnny is still struggling with his past as a bully and trying to find a way to make amends. Meanwhile, Daniel LaRusso is trying to keep his karate-focused life harmonious, with the successful running of his auto business and with his family. However, when an old enemy resurfaces, both Johnny and Daniel must once again confront their past in order to protect their future.

"Mercy Part II" picks up where the first season left off. Johnny is on a high after his success at the All Valley Karate Championship, but his pride and arrogance have come back to haunt him as the students he attracts are bullies just like he used to be. Daniel, on the other hand, feels like Johnny is repeating the same mistakes all over again, and is determined to stop him.

As Johnny trains his new students, particularly Miguel, who he sees as a reflection of himself, Daniel is struggling to balance running his auto business with spending time with his family. His wife and his daughter are getting into arguments over which college she should attend and he is doing his best to mediate.

When Daniel hears that Johnny is reopening Cobra Kai, he immediately becomes concerned. He knows what it was like at the height of their rivalry and doesn't want that kind of behavior to return to their community. Daniel confronts Johnny at the dojo, but the two end up getting into a physical altercation.

As if things weren't tense enough, a new character is introduced, the enigmatic Kreese, Johnny's old sensei from his Cobra Kai days. Kreese has always been a dark figure in Johnny's life and his appearance causes Johnny to reflect on his past and question his future. Kreese claims that he wants to help Johnny and get involved in Cobra Kai, but Johnny is understandably skeptical.

Throughout the episode, we see each character struggle with their own demons and the consequences of their actions. There are several intense fight scenes showcasing the power struggle between Johnny and Daniel, but ultimately, the episode leaves us with unanswered questions and a sense of impending conflict.

"Mercy Part II" shows that the rivalry between Johnny and Daniel is far from over and it is clear that the two will have to face each other once again in order to protect what they care about. The episode also introduces new characters and throws in some unexpected twists which will surely keep viewers engaged throughout the rest of the season.
