Contact is an investigative science program that aims to explore and decode some of the most enigmatic mysteries of our world. Hosted by Dr. Sarah Cruddas, the show seeks to answer questions about extraterrestrial life, ancient artifacts, and unexplained phenomena.

The first episode of Contact, titled "Alien Evidence," sets the tone for the series by diving into the concept of UFO sightings. Dr. Cruddas delves deep into this topic by talking to experts, analyzing footage, and visiting some of the most notorious UFO hotspots in the world.

The episode begins with Dr. Cruddas introducing the topic and explaining why it's important for us to explore the idea of extraterrestrial life. She mentions how, over the years, people have reported sightings of strange objects in the sky that they believe were not manmade. Dr. Cruddas goes on to explain how, in recent years, there has been a surge in sightings of these objects, which has led to more people questioning the possibility of alien life.

Dr. Cruddas then travels to the United States to meet with Luis Elizondo, a former intelligence officer with the Department of Defense who ran a program called the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). This program was created to investigate sightings of UFOs that were spotted by military personnel. Dr. Cruddas talks to Elizondo about his experience running the program and what they discovered during their investigations.

Next, Dr. Cruddas travels to Washington state to meet with Peter Davenport, the director of the National UFO Reporting Center. Davenport shows Dr. Cruddas a map of all the reported UFO sightings in the United States and explains how his organization collects and catalogs each report. Dr. Cruddas is surprised at the sheer number of reports and how many of them are from people who are credible witnesses.

The next segment of the episode takes us to Roswell, New Mexico. Dr. Cruddas visits the crash site where, in 1947, an object crashed that many believe to be an alien spacecraft. She talks to locals and historians who recount their versions of the story. Dr. Cruddas then meets with Kevin Randle, a retired lieutenant colonel who has written several books about the Roswell incident. Randle takes Dr. Cruddas through the events of that fateful day and shows her some pieces of material that he believes to be from the crashed object.

The final segment of the episode takes Dr. Cruddas to Mexico to investigate a sighting that occurred in 2004 over the small town of Capilla Del Monte. Dr. Cruddas meets with Alejandro Gomez, a witness to the event who took photographs and videos of the strange object in the sky. Dr. Cruddas analyzes the footage and talks to experts about what they believe the object could be.

Throughout the episode, Dr. Cruddas maintains a skeptical but open-minded perspective. She admits that there is still much that we don't know about the universe and that there could be a possibility of alien life. However, she also emphasizes the importance of looking at evidence scientifically and not jumping to conclusions based on speculation.

Overall, "Alien Evidence" is an intriguing first episode that packs a lot of information about UFO sightings into its runtime. Dr. Cruddas is a great host who brings energy and curiosity to the show. This episode sets the bar high for the rest of the season and leaves viewers eager to see what other mysteries Contact will unravel.
