Katherine Mary Knight was the first ever Australian woman to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole in 2001. The gruesome slaying of her de facto husband, John Price, rocked the small town of Aberdeen and the rest of the country. It is still considered one of the worst cases of domestic violence ever seen.
