Ep 8. It Had To Be You

Jen and Judy are back in action in episode 8 of Dead to Me season 2, titled "It Had To Be You." This episode picks up where the last left off, with Jen receiving a call from Perez telling her that Steve's head has been found in the freezer.

Jen and Judy are both in shock, and the reality of what they've done begins to sink in. They quickly realize they need to get rid of the head before anyone finds out, but they can't bring themselves to do it. Instead, they decide to go to the police station and turn themselves in.

At the police station, Jen and Judy are taken into custody and questioned by Perez. They both deny any involvement in Steve's death, but Perez is skeptical. She knows they're hiding something, and she's determined to find out what it is.

Meanwhile, Charlie is dealing with his own issues. He's struggling with the fact that his father is dead and his mother is in jail. He turns to Henry for comfort, but Henry is too young to understand what's going on. Charlie is left feeling alone and hopeless.

Back at the police station, Jen and Judy are given an ultimatum by Perez – either tell the truth or face the consequences. Jen decides to come clean and tells Perez everything that happened the night Steve died. She explains how they got into a fight, and Steve ended up falling off the balcony and hitting his head. Instead of calling the police, they panicked and hid his body.

Perez is skeptical of Jen's story, but decides to investigate further. She sends her team to the scene of the crime to gather evidence and see if Jen's story checks out.

As Jen and Judy wait for the results of the investigation, they're both consumed with guilt and fear. They know they're facing serious consequences for what they've done, and they're not sure if they're ready to face them.

Finally, Perez returns with the results of the investigation. She tells Jen and Judy that she's found evidence to corroborate their story, and she believes them. However, they still need to face the consequences of their actions.

Jen and Judy are released from custody, but they're both left with deep emotional scars. They know they've done something terrible, and they're not sure if they'll ever be able to move on from it.

As the episode comes to a close, Jen and Judy sit in the car, contemplating what they've done. They're both filled with a sense of uncertainty about what the future holds, but they know they'll face it together.
